What We’re Looking For:
✅ A fun, positive and motivated head coach, ideally with experience of coaching women’s rugby, although this is not essential.
✅ Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop players of all levels.
✅ A commitment to creating an inclusive and high-performance culture.
✅ England Rugby Coaching Award essential, with ambition to work towards the England Rugby Advanced Coaching Award.
✅ A passion for player progression, women’s rugby development and teamwork.
Your Role:
🔹 Plan, lead and deliver two high-quality training sessions per week, and lead on match days on Sundays.
🔹 Oversee and manage the full coaching team of assistant coaches and skills coaches.
🔹 Develop individual and team skills for our 1XV to compete in Championship 2, and for our 2XV to compete in the Inner Warrior Series.
🔹 Foster a positive, inclusive, hardworking and accountable team culture.
🔹 Lead on video analysis of matches through the use of Veo software.
🔹 Work closely with the Women and Girls Chairperson to grow the women’s game at Abbey RFC as part of a three-year development plan, including recruitment and retention objectives, and a player pathway from our thriving Junior Girls section.
