TEAM PROFILE
We are a friendly, fun, team who just love to play rugby.

New members are always welcome, regardless of experience - if you turn up, you will get to play.
Under 8’s is for boys and girls who are in school year 3. Once Girls over 12, they can join the Mini Nuns team at Abbey. The season begins on the first Sunday in September and runs until the end of April. We are a mixed ability squad and welcome all players at any level of experience. We offer a 'train for free' trial period for the first four sessions. We are a well-funded team who has a generous sponsor and are able to supply match day shirts and from time other kit.
We play both home and away games, and a number of tournaments throughout the season.
The Coaches
All coaches and the team manager are parent or club volunteers and have undergone RFU skills coaching, safeguarding and are all DBS checked with regular assistance and skill sessions with the Senior playing members from the club.
Training and Match Details
The team usually train every Sunday from 9-10:30am. The training is normally at the club (Rosehill) although we do have a full season or joint training and festivals both at home and away. The team manager will notify each parent or carer in advance. We use Heja (search your App store) to manage the fixture list and to RSVP in good time so we can plan sessions and teams in advance.
Get Involved
We want our players, parents/carers and coaches to remain lovers of rugby for the rest of their lives and give back to the sport what they have gained over the years. The Club is a volunteer club. Officers, coaches, managers and parents who help out every Sunday do so on a completely voluntary basis, without them there would be no club. If you are able to support in any capacity then contact the team manager either at training or email through the website. When you join Abbey we ask that commit to do at least 1 volunteering session per season together with attending the end of season work party to prepare the club for the following season. A volunteering session could be car paring or staffing a stand at a festival.
Player Membership
New players are always welcome. Please contact the Team Manager by clicking on the drop down menu and selecting roles and messaging here, if your child would like to attend.
