It is with sad regret that I have to inform you of the sad passing of Tony Horsfall who passed away on Thursday 2nd September.
Tony had been a member and friend to many at Abbey for over 30 years and had held many roles within the club during that time including coach, Committee member, Berkshire representative and of course loyal supporter. Our condolences go out to his family at such a sad time and we all have fond memories of Tony up at Rosehill.
Tony’s funeral will be held at Reading crematorium on Friday 24th September @ 12:15pm, followed by a gathering at Abbey Rugby club immediately after. All friends from Abbey are welcome to attend
PS: Picture was supplied by Mark Charlton and was back in June 2013 when Tony won the mid-year 200 club £500. When asked could we give him the cheque and have a photo, his comment was “I’m always at the golf club” so Mark had to meet him there.
