Talent Development Partnerships between Wasps Ladies & Reading Abbey to bring depth in competition and game time options.

Wasps Ladies are proud to announce the partnership with Reading Abbey, recently promoted into the Championship South. This partnership will allow Wasps players to bring experience of the Premier 15s into a Championship side and provides an opportunity for quality game time.

Giselle Mather, Wasps FC DoR, "This partnership is hugely exciting as it gives athletes from both clubs a genuine opportunity to further develop as players and to broaden
their game understanding and competitive experience. To link the
Premiership and the Championship in this way allows greater connection
and understanding to grow the women's game which can only be a positive
thing in the current climate of development of female sport at this

Lewis Jones, Abbey Ladies Head Coach: "All of us at Abbey are really excited for this partnership with a Premier 15s club to get off the ground. We are looking forward to watching the relationship between the two clubs grow, and the profile of women's rugby in Berkshire growing along with it."

Annabel Hawkins, Abbey Ladies Captain: "This is a very exciting time for Abbey Ladies and women's rugby in general. We are looking forward to developing our club through this partnership and can't wait to join forces and learn from a respected Premier 15s side. This process will be invaluable to all involved and we look forward to seeing our skills and confidence go from strength to strength."
